We finally broke down and got a second game system which has helped eliminate quite a few power struggles and fights. If I could eliminate the fighting altogether I would be a happy Mama! If you have any ideas I am open to suggestions!
I am sipping my tea from a brand new Disney mug - my souvenir from our Christmas trip to Disneyland. We had so much fun!
We even got to spend some time with one of my older sons and his girlfriend. They live in Los Angeles, so they met us at the park.
We definitely had a good time, but it was also exhausting!
Vacations are never long enough, are they?
Being a mom of 6 boys, I am always making sacrifices and buying things for them, but I never do things for myself. That is one of my goals this year, to do a little more for me. On the top of my wishlist is a new purse. I have only bought Wal-Mart purses, so I am planning on getting myself a nicer one. Any suggestions?
I head back to school on Monday, so it is time to get my head back into the game and get some lesson plans done. I did get next week's plans completed before vacation, so I am hoping to stay a week ahead of myself.
Which brings me to my word for the year. I need to be more intentional. I often do things as they come up, sort of like a firefighter putting out fires sometimes. This year, I would like to be more intentional with how I spend my time.

Kelly I LOVE your word! Intentional is a great word, and one that I hope to be more of this year as well! I LOVE that you went to Disney too! It is one of my FAVORITE places!! I am hoping that we will get to take our sweet babies one year, but right now they are still too young! Here is to a great 2016 for you my friend!!

Being a momma and taking care of yourself is HARD! You deserve it though! I've had a lot of success finding purses at Charming Charlie's! Is there one where you live? Enjoy the last two days of break!
ReplyDeleteWe did Disney last Christmas and it was wonderful! I absolutely love my Coach purse. They are very pricey but I bought mine at the outlet and it was on sale so it didn't break the bank. I hope you get to spoil yourself with something you really like!

My word is also intentional....for many of the same reasons.
ReplyDeletePurses.....Thirty-One has some cute ones. I'm partial to their Jewell by Thirty-One line. (Full disclosure, I used to be a consultant for them.) The Jewell purses are my favorite of their selection.
Oh my gosh! I have seen your photo many times, but it just didn't register with me until right now that you have SIX boys. Holy, moly, you are a busy lady, but what fun you must have! By the way, my two kids are 27 and 30 years old and they still fight! Have a great January!

Looks like a fun time at Disney! And I love your word - a very smart way of looking at your time! I have a Fossil purse that I use all the time, but I used to have a Coach bag that I loved and got on sale...it lasted a LONG time. :-)
