The Best Book Deals this Week July 5, 2020

I often get lots of questions from other teachers about building a classroom library without breaking the bank, so each week, I share 3-7 books that are on sale right now. I also share books that YOU might like to read as well!

If you see other great deals, I'd love if you would let me know about them!

BOOK DEALS YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS WEEK!

If you haven't signed up already, you don't want to miss this deal on  Kindle Unlimited! You get access to more than a million books, tons of magazines, and books that include audible narration.

The Legend of Rock Paper Scissors by Drew Daywalt is a hilarious take on the old hand game played by just about every kid alive.  You won't be able to read this one without cracking up, and it is on sale on Amazon right now!

Another of my favorite books by Drew Daywalt, The Day the Crayons Left is also on sale.  I have written about a writing lesson I taught using this as a mentor text in an earlier blog post.

The Bad Seed is a great story about a little sunflower seed who thinks that he is bad and acts out because of it.  It is a great read aloud for developing social emotional skills in your students. It is FREE on Kindle Unlimited right now.

Sticks is another Kindle Unlimited freebie right now. It's about finding yourself in a situation that didn't turn out quite like you expected, and having your friends and family back you up.  Easily relatable to anyone!

The Wonky Donky is another hilarious read aloud! It's one of those cumulative stories that keeps adding on kind of like The Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly.  Your students will laugh out loud with the spunky, hanky-panky, cranky, stinky, dinky, lanky, honkey-tonky, winky, wonky donkey.  It would make a great writing mentor text as well!

What books have you been reading lately? Leave a comment below to let me know!  I am always looking for new books to read!
