Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride that takes place on May 5th every year. It commemorates the Mexican army's victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.

 To celebrate Cinco de Mayo in your classroom, you can incorporate read-alouds that introduce your students to the history and traditions behind the holiday.

Celebrate Earth Day in the Classroom: 16 Activity Ideas for Kids

It's that time of year again when we celebrate the planet we call home - Earth Day! This year let's take the time to show our students just how important it is to take care of our environment. How do you celebrate Earth Day in the classroom? To help you out, I've put together a list of 10-20 activities that you can do with your students to celebrate Earth Day in the classroom.

1. Read Earth Day Themed Books: 

Reading is a fantastic way to celebrate Earth Day in the classroom.
