Celebrate Earth Day in the Classroom: 16 Activity Ideas for Kids



It's that time of year again when we celebrate the planet we call home - Earth Day! This year let's take the time to show our students just how important it is to take care of our environment. How do you celebrate Earth Day in the classroom? To help you out, I've put together a list of 10-20 activities that you can do with your students to celebrate Earth Day in the classroom.

1. Read Earth Day Themed Books


Reading is a fantastic way to celebrate Earth Day in the classroom. There are many great Earth Day-themed books that you can read aloud to your students, such as The Lorax by Dr. Seuss, The Earth Book by Todd Parr, and Michael Recycle by Ellie Bethel.
