What is Subitizing?
Subitizing is the a form of number sense where you can instantly recognize the number of objects without counting. We use this skill when you play a board game that involves rolling dice. You instantly "know" how many dots are on the dice.
One key part of effective subitizing is developing pattern recognition. These Valentine's Day Color by Code worksheets give your students the practice they need with counting dice, tally marks, dominos, ten frames, unifix cubes, and counting fingers.
