The Best Book Deals this Week November 29, 2020

I often get lots of questions from other teachers about building a classroom library without breaking the bank, so each week, I share 4-7 books that are on sale right now. I also share books that YOU might like to read as well!

If you see other great deals, I'd love if you would let me know about them!

BOOK DEALS YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS WEEK!

The Crayons Christmas  If your students are fans of The Day the Crayons Quit, they will love this Christmas version of Drew's crayons and their Christmas celebration! I really love how the author adds to the crayons personalities by sharing their letters from family members and holiday traditions.

Kids ALWAYS love non fiction books! One of the favorite non-fiction series in my classroom has been the Who Would Win Series. Who Would Win?: Ultimate Showdown is a compilation of 5 different books from the series including: Lion vs. TigerHammerhead vs. Bull SharkPolar Bear vs. Grizzly BearHornet vs. Wasp, and Triceratops vs. Spinosaurus.

Each book features facts about each animal's anatomy, behavior, and more.  After comparing the features, the author asks the reader, "Who Would Win"?

These books are perfect for compare and contrast essays or opinion writing pieces.

I have shared previously about my love for Jennifer Serravallo books for teaching about reading, and writing, well, now she has a book for Teaching Remotely!  Connecting With Students Online: Strategies for Remote Teaching and Learning gives tons of ideas for making those connections with students and how to teach from a distance.

This would be a great professional development read for over the holiday break!  I am working on a few blog posts from this book, so stay tuned!

I love using books like Difficult Riddles for Smart Kids: Teasers That Kids and Families Will Love in the classroom.  I use them for morning meetings, for fast finishers, and sometimes as a fun daily challenge!   You can get the Kindle version for FREE right now with Kindle Unlimited.

What books have you been reading lately? Leave a comment below to let me know!  I am always looking for new books to read!
